| Also, I haven't watched the original so I don't have much input as to the connection between the two. This movie is part of a 4 film collection on the 'Vault of Terror' DVD, honestly I don't think my review would be hugely positive if it wasn't, because it's a little short for a feature coming in at a little over 40 minutes and it doesn't seem to have any scripted dialogue, clearly this was not the intended final version. It's an OK film but pretty boring. It's almost a meditational film in a way, so in that way the lack of dialogue is a good thing. Maniac is problematic, but there's something to be said about the bold and provocative filmmaking style.
