He pulls his legs into the unit][as Jake is settling into his link unit and Grace comes over to close the hood][preparing to link Jake to his avatar Max looks at a monitor showing a 3D scan of Jake’s brain][when Jake enters his avatar body for the first time][Norm, also in his avatar body, is sitting in the gurney next to Jake’s][after he’s broken out of the bio-lab in his new avatar body][to Jake as he’s looking at the tendrils protruding from the end of his long braid][Trudy and Jake fist bump each other before she walks away][Quaritch has climbed into one of the giant robot suits][Quaritch brings the giant robot suit to life and walks over to Jake][Quaritch clamps his robot suit helmet shut and walks away][after getting down from the ship both Wainfleet and Jake are holding their guns][Grace, Jake and Norm in their avatar bodies are walking through the rain forest][when Jake sees a Hammerhead Titanothere, scared he raises his rifle][the Hammerhead Titanothere charges and Jake run towards him and yells to scare him][the Titanothere suddenly runs away once seeing the Thanator behind Jake, who is unaware][he turns around and sees an angry Thanator in front of him][Jake bolts into a run as the thanator leaps after him][Trudy is flying the ship around the rainforest whilst Grace is looking for Jake][after Neytiri has saved Jake from being killed by the viperwolves][Neytiri ignores him and prays in Na’vi over the dead viperwolf][Neytiri continues to ignore him and carries on her prayer ritual in Na’vi][Jake is running after Neytiri across an elevated root of an enormous tree][Jake suddenly loses his footing and almost falls off the root when Neytiri catches him][just then Neytiri notices woodspirits floating down towards them][as the woodspirits hover over and land on Jake’s head, hands, arms and body][Neytiri doesn’t answer but takes his hand and pulls him after her][Jake is brought to the Hometree to see the clan leader, Eytukan, who addresses Neytiri in Na’vi][Jake steps forward offering his hand but the Na’vi hunters and Neytiri stop him][Moat enters as the clan have gathered around Jake, she speaks in Na’vi][Moat circles around Jake examining his long braid and tail][Moat pulls out a long thorn she’s wearing around her neck and quickly strikes Jake in the chest with it drawing blood, she tastes it][Moat puts up her hand to stop Neytiri’s protests and speaks to Jake][over breakfast Grace is re-telling the tale of how they lost Jake in the rainforest][Selfridge presses the monitor to the large 3D graphic display][he gets one of the workers, Rick, behind him who to take over the 3D display monitor][the 3D display now shows the Omaticaya people’s Hometree][Grace is showing pictures of the Na’vi to Jake so he remembers them][Jake grins as Grace rolls her eyes at him before closing the pod][after Jake has bonded for the first time with the horse like creature he’s mounted][the horse launches into a gallop and Jake gets thrown off making Neytiri laugh][after watching Jake fall off his horse, Tsu’tey rides over to Jake][Tsu’tey turns to Neytiri, who is leading the horse back][she grins in agreement. There he learns of corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge’s (Giovanni Ribisi) intentions of driving off the native humanoid “Na’vi” in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland.In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang), while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na’vi people with the use of an “avatar” identity.
