Yamato Nadeshiko however is more comical and less dramatic. I actually read Wallflower manga thinking that it reminded me of Host Club then I tracked down the anime and watched it. They both have reclusive female leads that are overwelmed by beauty and have a character trying to give them a makeover. And both these characters’ stories are presented in a sympathetic and amusing light. They both have girls with terrible hygiene, and boys that help in the story. the style is similiar, both very funny and with a girl who can be really evil :D In a way, these two animes are quite alike, but in another way they are different. Both anime series have a girl who is self-concious and keeps to herself. Awkward girl, who even has similar appearance, and perfect guy. Although, Peach Girl is more romantic as Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is more of a comedy. While it's more famous counterpart may have NO trouble getting viewers, if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend you watch Yamato Nadeshiko because it's SO funny and awesome! The characters are more rounded and kind, and believable, unlike Yamato, which only displays this scarcely near the end Both stories about a girl becoming a princess.. at least at the beginning! Main character is an ugly girl that is made better by a superior man. The coloring is simular and so is the depth on the characters. Also both are surrounded by a group of guys that all of the students idolize/ envy. Both of the lead female protagonist look like Sadako from the ring. But our todays guinea pigs are different. (don't missunderstand me, it's still a shoujo anime which is good =) Both series have got a LOOOOT of bishie, girl with an "original dark side" and to me, when Yahiro is thinking about Kyoku and Ren, he's somewhat like Yuki, Ranmaru and Takenaga when they talking about Sunako and Kyohei. If you enjoy Host Club you will love Wallflower. a girl thats people are afraid of The boys in both anime have a special 'type' (prince type, cute type, playboy, etc.) it is toned down on the romantic side and amped up on the funny side. Saiunkoku Monogatari is about how Shuurei, the protagonist gradually achieves her dreams and helps a lot of people. In Megane Na Kanojo it's about girls hiding themselves behind glasses whereas in Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Sunako hides her beauty behind her "horror girl" image. Both series are both similar in plot and involve a girl being put into a situation where they are surrounded by attractive men and are to either help/or be helped by said men. x If you're into reverse harems, then these anime's are a few of those. Both also have similar moods. Weird, creepy girl falling in love with the popular guy Kimi ni Todoke is similat to the wallflower because both girls are creepy. these two titles both include the genre "bishounen" (which means that an anime includes hot guys xD) but the story is different. And, in YNSH, the female lead is quiet a handful for the 4 Bishonens, while in SS the female lead is game for the 12 Reverse Harem She's in love with a boy, who is very popular. If you like Ouran, you might like this show also, as they handle the same theme of a not-so-feminine girl trying to get along with astonishingly handsome but equally vain boys. Quirky heroines, over-the-top shenanigans, and ridiculous male characters allow both shows to rise above the negative connotations of the genre. i guess the only thing similar from both anime is that its Heroine has similar characteristics and their appearance ( they both kinda remind me of each other) But in The Wallflower the girl is a total freak for gore and the guys are trying to make the girl into a lady. The girl in both stories are very lucky.
Yamoto Nedeshiko Schichi Henge is more focused on comedy, compared to how Kimi ni Both of the female leads are considered to be creepy, but are actually just shy and awkward, but sweet. In each case a new girl arrives and they help her. Generally ambience of anime is similar. Wallflower (Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge) and Special A are both reverse harems.
